Fall 2014 Chapter Meeting

Date: Wednesday, December 3, 2014

The Fall Dinner Meeting was held at Joe Fish Restaurant in North Andover. NEAARST President Dave Hill provided an update on the chapter’s activities during the past year and spoke about two major successes: The adoption in Massachusetts of RRNC 2.0 in the state building code and the passage of legislation in New Hampshire requiring radon mitigators to be certified. Guest speaker Peter Hendrick AARST Executive Director, discussed AARST’s successes in other regions and particularly focused on AARST advocacy in Washington, DC. The chapter voted to continue to support this initiative by donating an additional $5,000 to the American Radon Policy Coalition.

NEAARST encourages all members to become active in supporting AARST initiatives by joining AARST National and to also consider donating to ARPC, the AARST Foundation and CanSAR.
